Community Kit for SharePoint
In case you haven't seen it, there's a project on CodePlex that is centered around "open source" or community contributions to Windows SharePoint Services / Microsoft Office SharePoint Server.. There are several projects underway, including extensions to the blog and wiki templates.

I think the most interesting thing here is that this kit includes a sample Windows Live ID authentication provider for SharePoint. To the best of my knowledge, this is the only place where you can get Passport integration for MOSS/WSS without needing to build it yourself...
