Team Foundation Server Administration

Codeplex has a very nice administration tool for VS Team Foundation Server. It really does take the work out of managing permissions in the several locations required when you work with TFS. Check it out here: http://www.codeplex.com/Wiki/View.aspx?ProjectName=TFSAdmin

Visual Studio Team System - Process Guidance

As anyone who's used VSTS and tried to customize the process templates knows, it is not an easy task. Some of the VSTS team have been trying to help us with this and the result is now posted on Codeplex. Check out the Patterns and Practices VSTS Process Guidance Generator on Codeplex here: http://www.codeplex.com/process/Release/ProjectReleases.aspx?ReleaseId=5626

Finally saw the book!

Back towards the beginning of the year, I was asked to help out on a book project with a couple of people I know and respect. The book is a training kit for the new MCITP 70-442 exam from Microsoft. I had never written a training kit before, and I have to say that working with MSPress and GrandMasters was one of the best writing experiences I have ever had. I will write for them anytime!

Anyway, the book title is "Designing and Optimizing Data Access by using Microsoft SQL Server 2005 Self-Paced Training Kit" and the ISBN is 978-0-7356-2383-5
